FrizmWORKS: A Guide to the Brand, OG Line and Fit

FrizmWORKS is a South Korean clothing brand established in 2010, with a range that spans work shirts, roomy trousers, knitwear and military-inspired outerwear. Its Original Garments® line, usually shortened to OG, focuses on everyday staples such as Oxford shirts, T-shirts and sweats.

At Unit 17, our FrizmWORKS collection includes both OG pieces and the wider range. This guide explains the differences, takes a closer look at several styles and helps you choose the right fit.

Where is FrizmWORKS from?

FrizmWORKS was established in South Korea in 2010. The name combines “Freeze” and “Prism”, reflected in the brand’s slogan: “Now we are going to freeze all prism colours in the world.”

Its stated aim is to make detailed, high-quality clothing at reasonable prices. That is the brand’s philosophy rather than a promise that every item will suit every budget. For customers, the useful question is what each garment offers in its fabric, construction and fit.

The European product pages identify numerous pieces as made in Korea, including the OG Striped Oxford Oversized Shirt. Country of manufacture should still be checked on the individual product or garment label rather than assumed across every collection.

What kind of clothing does FrizmWORKS make?

The range draws on familiar practical clothing: field liners, hunting jackets, work shirts and fatigue-style trousers. Alongside those are Oxford shirts, cardigans and casual knits.

The proportions give these clothes much of their character. The Buddy Harrington has a broad body and shorter length. The Corduroy Balloon Pant uses a rounded leg and tucks at the hem to create volume. These are deliberate shapes, so choosing the right size involves more than deciding whether you usually wear a medium or large.

Colour and texture also offer different ways into the brand. A black jacket or blue Oxford shirt is easy to introduce to an existing wardrobe. Brown corduroy details, substantial knitwear and an orange quilted liner provide more visible changes without requiring a completely new outfit.

What is the FrizmWORKS OG line?

OG stands for Original Garments®. It is FrizmWORKS’ core everyday clothing range. The European collection describes an emphasis on fabric weight, considered cuts and wearable colours.

The range includes Oxford shirts, heavyweight T-shirts, sweatshirts and casual trousers. These are the pieces you can use repeatedly beneath a jacket or alongside denim, with variations in fabric, finish and shape across individual styles.

OG is part of FrizmWORKS, not a separate brand. The label also does not indicate one universal fit. An oversized Oxford shirt and a regular-fit pair of OG jeans need to be assessed separately.

A closer look at the OG Oxford shirt

Our OG Striped Oxford Oversized Shirt in Blue offers a straightforward introduction. The cotton-and-polyester blend is paired with a hidden button-down collar and a generous body.

That concealed collar fastening is a small but useful detail: it secures the collar points without the visible buttons of a conventional button-down shirt.

Wear it open over a plain T-shirt with jeans, or button it with chinos. If you want a closer fit, compare the chest, shoulder and length measurements before choosing a smaller size. Reducing the size changes all of those dimensions, not just the width.

Elsewhere in the OG range, the European description of the Vintage Dyeing Half Tee specifies garment-dyed cotton and a reinforced, double-layer ribbed neckline. It also notes possible colour and measurement variations from the washing process. Those details apply to that particular T-shirt; they should not be treated as specifications for every OG garment.

FrizmWORKS pieces to know

Buddy Harrington Jacket

The Buddy Harrington Jacket combines a shorter body with generous width. Our black version features a peach-finished shell, cotton flannel check lining, an adjustable drawstring hem and a two-way YKK zip.

The adjustable hem lets you alter how closely the jacket sits at the waist. The two-way zip allows you to open it from the bottom when sitting or changing the shape over your trousers.

Choose this if you want a short everyday jacket. Try it over the layer you expect to wear underneath and check the body length as carefully as the chest width.

Heritage Hunting Jacket

The Heritage Hunting Jacket in Brown has a wide, shorter silhouette, a contrasting corduroy collar and a check lining. Its outer fabric is a blend of 60% cotton and 40% nylon.

The collar provides an obvious point of difference from the Buddy Harrington. Brown also pairs easily with indigo denim, cream knitwear and black trousers.

Its outdoor references describe the design. They should not be read as a waterproof specification, so check the stated performance details if you need a jacket for wet weather.

Corduroy Balloon Pant

The Corduroy Balloon Pant is the option to consider if you want more shape through the leg. Thick corduroy, a rounded silhouette and hem tucks give it a fuller profile than a conventional straight trouser.

An elasticated waistband and drawstring provide adjustment, but the waist is only one part of the fit. Check the rise, thigh and length as well.

A short jacket makes the trouser shape more visible. Start with a plain top if wider trousers are new to you, then judge the full outfit with your usual footwear.

Heavy Wool Round Cardigan

The Heavy Wool Round Cardigan in Navy has dropped shoulders, front pockets and horn buttons. The yarn contains 60% wool, blended with nylon, acrylic and rayon.

It is a useful alternative to a sweatshirt when you want a textured layer over a T-shirt or shirt. Our product guidance describes a normal-to-relaxed fit and recommends your regular size.

Check the care label before washing. A wool-blend knit needs to be treated according to its own instructions rather than washed with cotton basics.

How does FrizmWORKS fit?

There is no single sizing rule for the whole brand. Some garments have an intentionally oversized shape, while others are described as normal or relaxed.

The European guidance for the OG Striped Oxford recommends sizing down for a more conventional fit. Our Heavy Wool Round Cardigan guidance recommends your regular size. That difference is why we would not advise automatically sizing up or down across FrizmWORKS.

For an online purchase, compare the garment with something you already own:

  1. Choose a similar item. Compare a jacket with a jacket, allowing for the layers you wear beneath it.
  2. Lay it flat and measure. For tops, check underarm-to-underarm width, body length and sleeve length.
  3. Check how the size chart measures each dimension. A flat chest width is different from a full chest circumference.
  4. For trousers, compare waist, rise, thigh and length. An elasticated waist does not tell you how much room there is through the seat or leg.
  5. Decide which shape you want to preserve. Sizing down in a boxy jacket also shortens it and may reduce the space you need for layering.

If the measurements you need are missing, contact us before ordering. Tell us the item, your usual size and whether you prefer a closer or looser fit.

Which FrizmWORKS piece should you start with?

Choose the piece that fills a gap in your wardrobe.

The OG Oxford is a good starting point for a casual shirt to wear with jeans or chinos. The Buddy Harrington suits someone looking for a shorter jacket, while the Heritage Hunting Jacket adds a contrasting collar and a more traditional outerwear reference.

The cardigan offers an extra layer for colder days. The Balloon Pant makes the biggest change to the overall silhouette, so it is worth trying if your existing trousers all have a narrow or straight leg.

For a first outfit, pair the blue OG shirt with dark jeans and the black Buddy Harrington. Alternatively, try the navy cardigan over an ecru T-shirt with the black Balloon Pant. You can introduce one FrizmWORKS piece at a time.
